Welfare through world-leading sustainable procurement
Sustainable Public Procurement is an initiative among Sweden's 21 regions. We work to promote sustainable public procurement and support the Swedish Regions in strengthening social and environmental sustainability. We do this through monitoring, skills development, and communication.
Steering Group
The work is carried out on behalf of the Management Network for the Regions' Procurement (LfU) and the Regions' Sustainability and Environmental Manager Network (RMC). They appoint a Steering Group that leads and coordinates the work. Here you can see who is in the Steering Group.
Secretariat
At the national level, the National Secretariat for Sustainable Procurement coordinates operational support processes. The secretariat works on behalf of the Steering Group. Here you can find the contact details for the Secretariat.
Regional coordination
The regions are responsible for identifying risks, setting goals, and monitoring contracts. Regions that collaborate on procurement form a procurement region and are responsible for specific, prioritised purchasing categories. Each procurement region has a regional coordinator. You can find the contact details in the map.
