Sustainable Procurement must work to promote and contribute to sustainable procurement taking place in an efficient manner. Since both Sweden's regions and other procurement authorities are managed with public funds, it is particularly important that these activities are conducted in a cost-effective manner. Sustainable Procurement therefore shares summarized results from completed audits with the aim of streamlining follow-ups for other procurement authorities.

In order to succeed with sustainable procurement, it is important to prioritize the areas where the risks are most serious and where sustainability requirements bring the most benefit to people and the environment. A risk analysis has therefore been carried out for all regions' purchasing categories.​
The categories in RED are the ones to be prioritized in 2023-2025. The letter in brackets after each risk category shows which area is responsible. You can also click on the category to go directly to the list.
